Written Statement Draft: 'Materiality Guidance' In ‘Materiality Guidance’, I discover the significance and influence of colour and material on individual and collective human behaviour. My material and colour selection throughout the photoshop process aims to exert a specific atmosphere onto the audience. In the first image, nature dominates the design, establishing a serene and secluded ambience. Contrastingly, my second and third image exhibits a darker yet tranquil experience. The use of light and shadowing can also serve to direct an emotion which is apparent through my pictures. Week 7

Rescaled Model The studio activity for this week outlined that we needed to downsize our model from last week. As I had already done 1:20 in week 5/6, I used a scale of 1:50. Top view Front view Lighting and Scale Roof (week 5/6 paper folding) w/ figure (without extension addon) Reflection Adding the figure into the model allowed me to represent the scale of the room. It also prompted me to think about possibly expanding the size of the room, so it becomes a larger living room space. I also want to think about changing the size of the entrances to create more interesting thresholds and openings. Week 8

Photoshop Materials Test: Timber floor, stone pathway and roof shingles (made slightly transparent in order to see interior space) This image is a test to discover scale, perspective and sizing in terms of materials.
